Santhrosian
Common Traits
Kin Communion. Santhrosians possess a unique and mystical bond with the natural world, specifically with creatures that share their animalistic heritage. This connection enables them to communicate on a rudimentary level with animals of the same type as themselves (e.g., feline Santhrosians can communicate with cats, leporine Santhrosians with hares and rabbits, etc.).
Through Kin Communion, Santhrosians can understand and verbally communicate simple concepts and emotions such as fear, hunger, danger, or curiosity with animals of their kind. This ability is intrinsic and can be used freely without expending resources. However, the effectiveness of the communication may vary depending on the animal’s current disposition and state. This communication does not extend to controlling or coercing the animals in any way.
Duckfolk
Traits
Age. Duckfolk mature at the same rate as humans and typically live between 60 and 70 years.
Size. Standing on average around 4 feet tall and weighing about 40 pounds, Duckfolk are considered Small in size.
Natural Swimmers. Duckfolk have a swimming speed that matches their walking speed, due to their webbed feet and streamlined bodies. Additionally, they can hold their breath for significantly extended periods, adapting easily to aquatic environments.
Warm Feathers. Duckfolk are equipped with thick, insulating feathers that grant them resistance to cold damage. They are also resilient to extreme cold environmental conditions, which reflects their adaptation to diverse climates.
Harefolk
Traits
Age. Harefolk mature by the age of 15 and typically live up to 90 years.
Speed. Renowned for their swiftness, Harefolk have a base walking speed of 35 feet, enabling rapid movement across the battlefield or through the wilderness
Size. Standing around 5 to 6 feet tall, Harefolk have slim, agile builds, with weights ranging from 100 to 150 pounds. Their size is Medium.
Powerful Leap: Harefolk possess extraordinary leaping capabilities due to their strong leg muscles. They can jump three times the normal long jump or high jump distance, whether or not they take a running start. This allows them to leap significant distances or heights effortlessly, providing a strategic advantage in various situations.
Enhanced Hearing: Their large, sensitive ears provide Harefolk with acute auditory senses. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing.
Wolfkin
Traits
Age: Wolfkin mature by the age of 15 and typically live up to about 100 years. Their extended lifespan reflects their resilient nature and strong survival instincts.
Size: Wolfkin range from about 5.5 to 6.5 feet tall, with muscular builds weighing between 150 to 250 pounds. Their robust physique categorizes them as Medium size.
Keen Senses: Possessing acute sensory perceptions, especially in hearing and smell, Wolfkin have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on these senses.
Olfactory Acuity: Wolfkin have a limited form of blindsight of 10 feet, which allows them to perceive their surroundings without relying on sight. This ability is dependent on their ability to smell and does not function in environments where smell is impeded, such as underwater or in areas filled with smoke.
